Poppy -fragile but still strong

I grew up in a small village in the Greek mountains, surrounded by beautiful meadows, filled with endless poppies in early summer. This overwhelming image of a delicate flower, which cannot be beaten in beauty, color intensity and steadfastness, has remained with me ever since and is the source of my inner driving force.Wool has the same characteristics so the poppy blossom has become my trademark.

For as long as I can remember I am interwoven with textile work. In my parents’ house spinning wool, weaving, knitting, doing embroidery and sewing belonged to the everyday life. For years lingering inside me, textile work has banned its way out, showing me a new way through wool, which fills me with joy on a daily basis.
